Chelsea return from the international break having won three of their previous four matches in all competitions, losing just one of their last eight, and winning each of their last three home games.

Mauricio Pochettino's side booked their place in the semi finals of the FA Cup in their last outing,a 4-2 win over Leicester, and will be hoping to carry their form into the weekend as the Blues look to earn a top seven finish and a place in European competition next season.

The west London side head into the weekend 11th in the Premier League table, five points behind seventh-placed West Ham, having also played two matches fewer.

Burnley ended their run of 11 matches without a win in their last outing a fortnight ago, earning just their second home league win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Brentford.

Vincent Kompany's side now find themselves just five points from safety, having benefitted from recent news of Nottingham Forest's four-point deduction for breaching profit and sustainability rules, which would otherwise have left them eight points adrift.

The Clarets will need to improve on their record away from home if they are to extend their Premier League stay, with the Lancashire side having won just once on the road in all competitions since October, losing five of their last six away games.

Only Sheffield United have picked up fewer points away from home in the Premier League this season than Burnley, and this weekend would be the perfect chance to add to their win a fortnight ago and signal their intent to their other relegation candidates.

Chelsea have won eight and drawn two of the last 10 meetings between the two sides, with Burnley having won only one of the last 17 meetings going back to 2008.
