Hull City goalkeeper open to new deal- No talks yet

David Marshall is open to a new deal at Hull City.

The experienced goalkeeper is out of contract at the end of the season and no talks have been held as of yet, according to journalist David Burns on Twitter.

The 33-year-old has been the Tigers’ first choice ‘keeper in this campaign and has been impressive. However, he could become a free transfer in the summer.

Marshall joined Hull in August 2016 from Cardiff City but was mainly used as their back-up ‘keeper in his first two campaigns at the club. He then became Nigel Adkins’ first choice when Allan McGregor departed for Rangers over the summer.

The Scotland international has played a key part in Hull’s rise up the Championship table over the past couple of months.

Marshall is a vastly experienced goalkeeper at this level and is a key asset for Hull. He has played over 450 games in his career to date with the likes of Celtic, Norwich City, Cardiff and the Tigers.

Key players such as Evandro, Fraizer Campbell and Markus Henriksen are all also out of contract in June and Hull need to tie them down on longer deals.

Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Brentford on Saturday and they will be looking to get back to winning ways. Here is a preview for the game, as reported by The72 earlier today.
