Judge Undergoing Medical at Town
Monday, 14th Jan 2019 16:08

Brentford winger Alan Judge is at Town undergoing a medical this afternoon.

We understand a deal has been agreed with the Bees but talks are still continuing with the player and his representatives regarding personal terms.

The Blues made their move for the 30-year-old at the end of last week with discussions having progressed over the weekend.

Republic of Ireland international Judge, who is out of contract at Griffin Park at the end of the season and is available for a cut-price fee, has made only made only seven starts and 17 sub appearances for the Bees this season, scoring twice.

The former Blackburn, Plymouth (loan) and Notts County man suffered a broken leg at Portman Road in April 2016, an injury which kept him out of first-team action until January 2018.

Dubliner Judge previously came close to joining the Blues from the Magpies in the summer of 2013, however, he instead returned to Blackburn, where he had previously been a youth player, for a second spell.

If the deal is concluded, then Judge will become Paul Lambert's sixth signing of the January transfer window.

Get In, another Centre Back or right back please. Probably the best January Transfer window we have had, probably tempered by Jonas departing to free up the cash. Wonder if we will renew our interest in Tilt if Marcus has got time on his hands!!!!

Obviously ME didn't splash the cash on Messi as some on here think is realistic. Happy inclusion to the squad. Welcome.

Sounds like we're close to getting this one over the line if he's at the club doing a medical. Great news! I'm curious to hear what the cut price fee would be. Around £250k - £500k I'd presume?

Just waiting on that right back unless we think Pennington can do a job until the end of the season

The more quality players we get in , the others might be encouraged to follow.

hope upon hope this comes off. Pity PL had to come in after Hursts shambles, so much to do ,so little time to do it now.

Brilliant, others were after him.

Pennington did a pretty good job on Saturday, got up and down, blocked crosses, didn't watch the ball go past him for corners

Charlie pl Baxter only my opinion but I thought Pennington at right back with Chambo and Collins center half was pretty good on saturday!!! Think he's good in the air and got a little bit of pace about him to get up and down the line just my opinion stick with Pennington at right back! I think Collins presence just brought the best out of both Pennington and Chambo thought our defence looked pretty sound considering all the pressure we had to endure in the second half! And think elder looked decent aswel!! COYB!!!

Apparently he's not been the same since the injury, hence not getting in at Brentford, but even if only 50-75% then probably better than what we've got at the moment. Hopefully will improve with more game time. Wonder who will get left out?

Great news, assuming he clears the medical of course! Not sure if we really need any further additions? Midfield will be fine as soon as it's fit which is hopefully on the horizon. This squad will, in my opinion, now have the balance of youth, experience and physicallity to compete in the championship. Let's not hope for miracles just yet as may take a short while to gel but heading in the right direction for sure. Well done PL!

Oh, to think what Paul Lambert could have done with the six million pound that Hurst squandered on players who are nowhere near a place in the side.
I will never forgive Hurst for what he did to the club.

We still need some quality in midfield as the kiddies are just not ready yet. Someone who can take charge like Collins did for the defense.
