Arsenal were told they had thrown £60million down the drain when they signed Kai Havertz but to their delight, he’s scored again.

The Gunners brought Havertz to the club in a big-money move from Chelsea last summer in a switch that received plenty of criticism.

However, the German has massively defied his critics and has become a crucial cog in Mikel Arteta’s title-challenging machine this season.

He has been deployed as a striker and a midfielder and he has taken both roles in his stride, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists this campaign so far.

Two of those goals came in a 5-0 win against his former club in what was a major statement result for Arsenal and Havertz.

His performance proved that he was worth the huge transfer fee and it kept the Gunners well involved in the Premier League title race.

Speaking after the win over Chelsea, Arteta was full of praise for his star and said: "He was unbelievable, in all departments.

"For a nine to score two goals the way he scored, his contribution was great. I'm sure he's very pleased.”

After his goals, Havertz’s name rang around the Emirates as fans expressed their love and appreciation for him.

Many times this campaign, the Arsenal supporters have remained behind him, with the 24-year-old receiving solo plaudits for a winner at Brentford in November.

They have created a special chant for Havertz and it has become a regular feature from the stands at the Emirates.

Gunners fans have used the lyrics and rhythm of Shakira’s Waka Waka song which is commonly used as the base for many football chants.

They make jest of the criticism they received for the price they paid for the German before referencing his scoring form.

The chant has gone viral, so if you don’t know the lyrics already, you can find them below…
